How to Make a Leadership Wilkes-Barre Project Video Schedule Step 1. Write the script. You can be funny, you can be serious, you have to be under 3 minutes. Please read your script slowly, out loud, while someone is timing it. When you come to my studio to record the narration and it is over 3 minutes, a $50 fine will be billed to your group and the $25 for each 30 seconds after that. The script must follow the sample format, if not, a $50 fine will be billed to your group. Step 2. Organize your pictures and video. All photos must be digital and on CDs or flash drives. All videotapes must be clearly labeled and the times of the video clips your using must be written on the script. Step 3. Contact me the moment you come up with some direction to your video at 570-719-9986 or scottcannon@epix.net. I can help you to implement your ideas effectively. Step 4. Set up the production meeting. This is the meeting when your group or video leader meets with me to record the narration and we go through the pictures and video. If you don’t have your pictures and video organized a $50 fine will be billed to your group. Tips to make a better video: 2. Don’t tell me you have an idea for something, then come to our production meeting with something completely different. There is no time for surprises. 3. Get your script to me when you have a rough draft. I can look it over to see if your ideas will fly. Technical tips: A. Stand close to your subject and zoom out, as apposed to being very far away and zooming in. The video gets shaky that way and the audio isn't as clear. B. Film so the light source (sun, office lights) are in front of the subject and not behind them. C. Always allow a few extra seconds of recording before you yell “Action”, and after you yell “Cut!”. D. When recording video with speaking parts, avoid noisy areas. E. Do not shoot video on a cell phone. Still Pictures
*Any still pictures you give me must be no more that 2000 lines of resolution. There are differnet settings in your camera to make the pictures smaller. Look at the camera manual to figure that out. Put all photos on one disc and resize them if you have to and bring it to our production meeting.
Organize your pictures and video. All photos must be digital and on CDs or flash drives. All videotapes must be clearly labeled and the times of the video clips your using must be written on the script. Video formats to use: Mini DV, DVD, VHS. If you shoot on Sony 8mm video, you must bring the camera, power supply, and audio/video cable. Copyrighted DVDs and tapes cannot be used. Check back often for updates on the project videos! |
